Three new “ Meilleurs Ouvriers de France ” at Lalique
This year has seen a new round of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (Best Craftsmen in France) awards.
The 25th competition for the title “One of the Best Craftsmen in France” (MOF), much prized by all the highly committed candidates, produced 225 new titleholders across all categories. All the candidates competing for the title have their self-discipline, humility and determination put to the test. Spirit and mettle are the watchwords for those aspiring to the award of “Excellence”. The path to success is long and arduous – something to which the 9000 laureates created since 1924 can attest.
The 25th awards ceremony was held at the Sorbonne on Thursday, 16 April 2015.
Maison Lalique had the honour of seeing three of its workers receive the medal and badge at this year's awards – a great feat and source of immense pride for the crystal-glass industry.
Lalique and the National Association of the Best Craftsmen in France would like to congratulate the new titleholders:
-
Clay and glass-working crafts group
Glass and crystal category / Engraving and sculpture option
Eric HARTER
Matthieu MULLER -

Romain ILTIS ( For the Villa René Lalique )
The diploma is graded level III in the classification of the Ministry of Education. Recognised for their high level of expertise, MOF titleholders go on to help further their craft throughout France.
