Lalique opened its second standalone boutique in London on September 28th at the prestigious Burlington Arcade, London's first shopping arcade, opened in 1819 to great acclaim in Mayfair.
60 years later, René Lalique was in London studying at Sydenham College, an art school in Crystal Palace where the influence of the blossoming arts and crafts movement allowed him to express his individual, naturalistic style.
It is not inconceivable to think that he may have walked in this very arcade, contemplating which is now recognised as an historic and architectural masterpiece.
In this recently opened boutique, which is complementary to the Lalique boutique in Conduit Street and Harrods, you can find Lalique best sellers in crystal and perfumes. A new showcase for French Art de Vivre in London!

Filled with the exceptionally rare 155-year-old vintage Port created in 1863 by the first Niepoort generation, Franciscus Marius van der Niepoort and contained within a meticulously crafted Lalique crystal demijohn decanter, it sold for HK$ 992,000 (approx. US$127,000) at Acker Merrall & Condit, Hong Kong.
