A POETIC ENCOUNTER
WITH CLAIRE BOREAU
Born into a family of craftsmen, Claire Boreau found her own language, that of flowers.
It is in the heart of her workshop, which is a veritable cabinet of curiosities, where this poet of the botanical world imagines, composes and sculpts bouquets that seem to have travelled through time.
This summer, Lalique met her.
« Thanks to my work with flowers, I find a happy encounter between art and craftsmanship, and therefore a reconciliation with my heritage. This is also what I find in the Lalique collections, the encounter between know-how and inspiration. This is what distinguishes, without doubt, exceptional objects from beautiful things. »

CRAFTSMAN’S HAND
Precise gestures. Time. And a few well-kept secrets... Claire Boreau's sculpted bouquets and Lalique crystal are the products of know-how. A happy coincidence of words: under a sunny greenhouse as well as at the exit of a furnace in the Lalique factory, we say that the hand of the craftsman "picks" the material.

Fashioned in satin-finished and re-polished crystal, the cactus leaves are hosting a magnificent cascade of flowers and scents in Claire’s garden. With its accentuated relief and its generous proportions, the Languedoc vase becomes a real living sculpture.
DISCOVER THE LANGUEDOC VASECULTIVATING LOVE
The summer is a good time to get together. The birds are nestled in a bath of greenery and pale light. Like crystal, and like flowers, love is fragile. To make it grow, you have to take the time to tame it like a craftsman learning his trade. Then, always, pamper it.
