TWO HOUSES, ONE EXCEPTIONAL COLLABORATION

The House of Lalique and l’Opéra national de Paris sign a jewellery collection. This collaboration takes its inspiration from the prestigious artistic and cultural heritage that unites the two Houses.

Lalique jewellery takes the stage!

Through this extraordinary jewellery collection, Lalique showcases a selection of some of the greatest works in the Opéra’s repertoire. The world of song and dance meet with René Lalique’s most admired sources of inspiration: Women, Plants and Wildlife.

Each piece of jewellery designed for this collaboration is engraved with the Lalique & Opéra national de Paris signature.

Fine jewellery collections

Lalique has designed three fine jewellery suites in 18-carat gold to reflect all of the richness of the two Houses’ secular heritage.

The Adrienne collection is inspired by the opera Adriana Lecouvreur, and features a duet of onyx and diamonds. Two rings set with rubellite recall the famous red curtain at the Opéra de Paris. This collection pays homage to the tragic actress Sarah Bernhardt, one of the most remarkable muses of René Lalique.

L’Oiseau de Feu collection is adorned with jade, sapphires, diamonds and fire opal; reinterpreting the flamboyant costumes of this magnificent ballet. This ballet originally inspired René Lalique to design a glass sculpture in 1922.

The Cygnes collection takes its inspiration from the famous ballet Swan Lake, and the numerous swan-on-water motifs René Lalique so often incorporated into his jewellery.

Fashion jewellery collections

Three fashion jewellery collections are set with motifs in Lalique crystal. They complete the suites of fine jewellery designed for this exceptional collaboration.

Le Baiser is inspired from the famous ballet Romeo and Juliet revealing a kiss engraved in a clear crystal medallion.

Fleur de Neige design is inspired by the opera The Snow Maiden (1882). The motif depicts a snowdrop flower sculpted in crystal with reflections casted in hues of pearl.

The last design from this collaboration is Eurydice; which pays homage to the famous myth Orpheus and Eurydice form the Opéra’s grand repertoire.  Each piece is inspired by the snake - one of René Lalique’s preferred motifs.
